A few tips

Building names

Acropolis is the name of the hill and the set of ancient buildings on it. The Parthenon is the iconic, large rectangular temple at the top of the Acropolis hill. 


As an archaeological site, the Acropolis site also includes structures around the hill, e.g. the theatre of Dionysus.


Locations

The Acropolis site and the Acropolis Museum are close to each other. The walk from the Acropolis metro station to the Acropolis Museum, and from there to the Acropolis site, is indicated in the following link:


It gets hot in summer

In summer, the temperature on the Acropolis of Athens can get high. When you visit the Acropolis, it is recommended to use sunscreen, wear a hat and sunglasses, and stay hydrated.
