In 2012, the Acropolis Museum was awarded by the International Institute for Conservation (IIC) in Vienna the Keck Award for the conservation of the Caryatids. Since 1975, an ongoing, internationally acclaimed restoration and conservation programme has been taking place on the Acropolis.
