‘Promakhos’ gala premiere at the Acropolis Museum in Athens

“Promakhos”, written and directed by Coerte and John Voorhees, was screened for the first time at the Acropolis Museum in Athens on 24 November 2014. The event was attended by actors and actresses of the production – Pantelis Kodogiannis, Kassandra Voyagis, Georges Corraface – high-profile officials including Olga Kegaloyanni, Greek Minister of Tourism, Elena Korka, Director of the Office for Supervision of Antiquaries and Private Archaeological Collections, Greek Ministry of Culture, Irini Stamatoudi, Director of the Hellenic Copyright Office, Greek Ministry of Culture, Dimitris Pantermalis, President of the Acropolis Museum, Marianna Vardinoyianni, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, Spyros Mercouris from the Melina Mercouri Foundation, and more. The premiere was celebrated as a great success, while the production is anticipated to revive the international debate about the return of the Parthenon sculptures to Athens. Film release date at movie theaters in Greece: 27 November 2014. Justice returns to Athena.
