AcropolisofAthens.gr is an initiative aiming to support the reunification of the Acropolis Sculptures in Athens. It was
created and has been maintained voluntarily, as a tribute of respect to culture and education, and with the purpose to reunite people through a unique, creative
aim. 'World Heritage' are the words of inspiration behind this effort!
This website is intended to contribute to the making of an honest world of cultures and civilisations.
All texts and pages of AcropolisofAthens.gr were composed with passion for the reunification of the
Parthenon sculptures at a single location, the new Acropolis Museum in Athens, right next to the site where
they were created and have stood as a civilisation symbol for 2500 years.
The vision is to see all parts and pieces of the Athenian Acropolis buildings
and temples displayed together in one meaningful set!
True art lovers do not attach labels of ownership on
cultural treasures. Any civilised person would never force pieces of a beautiful artistic creation apart. It is the duty of every world citizen
to focus on the meaning of monuments of unity, and to respect and preserve them - physically and conceptually - as a unique means of education and
promotion of bonding in the human society.
The aim of AcropolisofAthens.gr
In an effort to serve the ultimate antiquity conservation act in the international community, AcropolisofAthens.gr aims to raise public
awareness of the seizure of ancient sculptures and architectural parts from the Parthenon and other buildings of the
Acropolis in Athens. It is a result of voluntary work, and this
is what makes it powerful! It is the will for cultural integrity that drives this effort.
The vision is to see educational institutions, like the British Museum in London, stand for what
they are really meant to stand for; not ownership and persistence, but education, appreciation of art, and cultural integrity on a global scale.
